A Windy Creek baby all grown up and hard at work...

Our 2008 filly out of Shaq and Smokey was purchased by our neighbor Will when she was younger. This past friday we went to watch my nephew Malachi ride bulls at Newell, Iowa and were able to see her all grown up and doing some rodeo work. These are a few pictures from that night, it was so neat to see how she has grown and is doing good work for Will.
I had to add a picture of my nephew too :-)

new pictures

These pictures were taken on June 13th and today, June 15th. Our mare Cane is getting close but we are still waiting on her baby. The four we have so far are all really looking great! I know every year I sound biased but to stay in this uncertain life of raising quality colts, you have to love your stock and we do! The three oldest are all shedding their baby hair so they are looking a little scruffy but still beautiful and muscular. The other day we were talking about how homely our stallion Watch Joe Shaq looked as a roan(ish) yearling but turned out to be a gorgeous stud!

New arrival!

Yesterday morning, Syd "Srb Jazzy Lady" had a gorgeous red roan filly. She is out of Syd and our stallion Watch Joe Shaq. It is going to be another fun summer of watching all of our colorful babies go through their five or six color changes before Fall. We have one more baby to come so be sure to check back :-) These pictures were taken yesterday on her birth day, June 1st.
