Dad, Mom, and Baby! (Shaq and Cane)

Royals little beauty!

all babies are haltered!

Smokeys stud colt

This past Saturday afternoon we weaned our five Windy Creek babies and haltered them too! It went very slick, they are a great group again this year to work with. These pictures are from the pasture, leading them up to top yard and the babies in the barn and haltered. There may be a bunch of pictures on this post but I wanted to make sure I got them on here.

The two babies of the year out of SRB Jazzy Lady and SRB Can Cane

Syd's (SRB Jazzy Lady) baby girl is the red dun (the lighter one) and Cane's (SRB Can Cane) baby girl is the sorrel/brown one (the darker one). I'm didn't realize that I didn't get any more pictures of Cane's baby, my niece Karina has had her heart set on her since before the little filly was born so I am sure I will have more pictures of her to come.

SRB Go Smokey Roann's amazing stud colt!

SRB Royal Drifters gorgeous little girl!

Our mares, the moms to this post and the last,  SRB Country Drifter and SRB Royal Drifter are full sisters.

I hope I don't over whelm you who are looking at my blog with the overload of pictures! I am going to do a quick 'catch up' on the pictures that I snapped this morning out in our pasture. When I have more time I can label the babies more, they have all grown up quite a bit since our last photo shoot together!

and...i'm back!

It has been a very stressful and crazy last couple of months, I am so sorry that I haven't had new pictures of our Windy Creek babies for weeks. Our mom has been hospitalized twice in the last two months for a total of 5 weeks during those two stays. She is home now and is doing very well for where she has been. It is almost time to wean our babies, actually we are planning on doing that this weekend so I wanted to get out to the pasture for some pictures before then. This picture is our stallion Watch Joe Shaq (Shaq) and our mare SRB Jazzy Lady (Syd) taken yesterday morning.  Thanks for understanding the delay in updates and I hope you enjoy the pictures to come!

images of our pasture this summer

This summer my brother and his wife brought up their cow/calf pairs and their bull to our pasture so our horses and babies had some new friends with them to enjoy our grass! We are so thankful to have a "green" year for our pasture, it has been so nice!

Cane has a beauty!!!

July 2nd brought our fifth (and last) baby for this year! Cane was our hold out mare this year but was well worth the wait, just ask my niece Karina who has had her eye on Cane's baby for months :-)
She is a beautiful red roan or sorrel (not sure yet which :-)) filly out of our stallion, Watch Joe Shaq and our mare SRB Can "Cane".

Drifters Sweetheart

This is the big sister of the group, our first baby from this year out of our stallion Watch Joe "Shaq" and our mare Srb Country "Drifter". Our mares "Drifter" and "Royal" are full sisters.
She is so sweet and is so pretty too! I think she is really going to be something special! This is another picture from this morning.

Royals pretty baby girl

Here is Royals baby girl, she is out of "Shaq" and Srb "Royal" Drifter. I am not sure what color she is going to be, her head is shedding out dark but she still has quite a bit of light color on her legs so we will have to wait and see. Every year it is always such a mystery as to what color our babies will be, they usually go through two or three color changes before they are weaned and have lost all their fluffy baby coat. These pictures were also taken this morning.

Smokeys awesome stud colt

Here is our stud colt out of our stallion Watch Joe "Shaq" and our mare Srb Go "Smokey" Roann. These pictures were taken this morning. This little guy is looking amazing! I may be biased, I admit that quite a bit on here about our gorgeous babies, but I just can't help it :-) Anyway, this is our only stud colt we have this year so far, we are still waiting on our mare Cane. He is already spoken for.

Syd's baby girl arrived!

Yesterday when I was heading to church I thought I spotted a light colored colt in the pasture by Syd (Srb Jazzy Lady) but they were in the back corner of our pasture so I couldn't get a close look, sure enough there was a beautiful red dun filly! She is beautiful and really looking good. I took these pictures this morning of her.

The three Windy Creek babies, so far...

Here are our three beautiful babies out in our pasture so far. We are waiting yet on Syd and Cane to have theirs. These three are looking good and are already willing to pose for the camera. It is easy to lose track of time while out in the pasture with them!
