Watchsmokeydesperado

Here is Watchsmokeydesperado, Smokey's red roan stud colt. It was a great year so far for my first name choices working for the AQHA registration on our two oldest babies!

Watch Red River Dee!

Just had to share that the papers came in for Drifter's red dun stallion, Watch Red River Dee! So excited that my first name choice worked, he is named after one of my favorite John Wayne movies, Red River and D like the brand on movie but also there is a Two Beaver Dee on Shaq's papers. Anyway, just wanted to share that!

These photos were taken yesterday afternoon,10-25.I have more colt pictures to add but I'll put them on different post so not too pictures to look at all at once:) Everyone was looking so nice I couldn't resist taking a "few" (yeah right) pictures of our pretty little herd. They are starting to get their winter coats so starting to look little scruffy but not bad at all :)

These pictures were taken early last week, I had my sister Cindy and my nephew Clay come out and help to double check my drawing for the registration papers for the two oldest colt and of course I brought my camera along out to the pasture, gee I love digital cameras!

sorry for the break in pictures...

I am back, it has been an amazingly crazy last few weeks, on August 23rd I became the aunt to the sweetest identical twin boys! Anyway, back to our horses, the four Windy Creek babies this year are awesome! I know I say that every year but holy cow, these four are all built like a rock and are so pretty:) Since I am finally back on you are going to get plenty of post but all from the same couple hour time span so here is the first, I will work my way up to the most recent pics so these are from a couple weeks ago. The pretty little one looking over the fence is my nephew Ezra's yearling filly "Shooter" out of our Shaq and Syd last year, wow!

updates on 2013 babies here at windy creek

Here are just a few more pictures taken this morning, august 8th. What a pretty group of babies! I am anxious to see what the weeks to come will bring for the two little ones, if they will keep their colors or not.

Cane's baby girl has arrived!

The last baby for this year has finally made her appearance, Cane had a beautiful filly saturday August 3rd! What a colorful group of babies again! She looks to be maybe a red roan or red dun. Hopefully there will be time for her to lose her baby hair before she starts to get her winter coat since she was so late in coming!

new pictures of Drifter and Smokey's babies

SRB Go Smokey Roann's stud colt

SRB Country Drifter's stud colt
Wow, I am afraid every summer that I must sound like a broken record, but every year I think the babies just seem to get nicer and nicer. This year, the two oldest stud colts we have are awesome; their muscle, color, and attitudes are amazing (not to brag or anything:))

Very much worth the wait!

Syd finally had her baby friday, July 26th! She had a nice stud colt that has already been bought by my brother Danny, I think that was our quickest sale:). Like many of our babies here, the color that this little guy is going to be is a mystery right now. Whatever color he is, we sure haven't seen before in our pasture!
