Two new additions so far!

Royal and filly in front --- Drifter and stud in back

Drifter and stud colt
Royals' filly

On April 15th we were excited to find that not one but two new babies decided to make an appearance! Not to be out done, full sisters Srb Country Drifter and Srb Royal Drifter gave us, the first time in 8 or so years of having colts, two babies on the same day. Drifters is a stud colt and Royals a little filly. If you have seen our colts in the past, they go through about 5 different colors before weaning time so I think they will be either red roans or red duns, they both have dorsal stripes. We have had two days in a row of new ones but never on the same day. So far they are the only two on the ground. Our lovely Iowa  weather (not!!!) has not given me much chance to get out and take my usual pictures but as always there will be more pictures of these two and the future babies in the weeks to come! As mentioned, Drifter and Royal are full sisters so the papers would look the same as above except for name of dam.

Watch Joe Shaq

Here are just a couple pictures of our stallion, Watch Joe Shaq. He is now 11 years old and has proved to be a great mix with our mares. I am the first to admit that when Dad and Mom bought him as a yearling I thought they were crazy getting that funny looking roan but now I think he is absolutely gorgeous! I know somewhere in my blog history "Shaq's" bloodlines are on here already but here is a quick overview; he is out of Watch Joe Jack Bars (Watch Joe Jack and Elano) and Sue Fancy (Fancy Roan Bar Boy and Toms Sue Bark).
